How Collingwood FC got 9,000+ fans voting for the Copeland Trophy

Collingwood FC used Campaignware (then called Benchvote) to run a fan poll for its end-of-season Copeland Trophy in 2018, the second year the club had done so. Fans took part online and at the event, which included club partner American Tourister. Result: more than 9,000 participants in three days.

What they did

The club promoted the poll on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and email, and it ran from 3 to 5 October.

Fans could vote online or at the Copeland Trophy event itself, which was held outside the playing season and included partner American Tourister.
